Pretzl Freeride 2023

Curves and Gravity, a subdivision of NaheLand Crew, presents the Pretzl Freeride 2023.

The Almabtrieb is a absolutely historic event in Europe. Famously, the premiere German event has been held on 5 different hills across both Germany and Austria, by veteran event organisers including Risch Helmets owner Stephan Risch, BigMountainskate and now NaheLand Crew.

After a 3 year break, with the last edition having being held by BigMountainSkate on the infamous Loser Mountain in Austria, Germany’s NaheLand Crew brings the prestigious event back to the homeland and to it’s attendee’s fondest venue, Hungerzell, near Neukirchen in Bayern.

The Hungerszell

Sitting above the Danube valley, the Hungerszell offers a huge, diamond grade paved, monstrosity of a road. The 2.4km track, with 4 wide hairpins and long sweeping straights, can test the wits of the best downhill skateboarders in the world, while equally offering a relaxed and safe environment for less experienced skaters. With speeds up to 100km/h, through vast sweepers and directly into one of the nicest breaking zones in Europe, there is nothing but pleasure to be experienced on one of Europe’s most mythologised roads.
