Yarra Ranges Downhill Festival
Victoria Downhill presents Yarra Ranges Downhill Festival, returning for its 3rd edition in 2023!
In conjunction with VSA, ASRA & the Yarra Ranges Shire council, the event will feature 3 days of free riding and optional 6 man downhill skateboard and street luge racing on an all grip track.
Situated on one of Victoria’s mountain road gems, whilst surrounded by the lush and incredible scenery of the Yarra Ranges and the town of Warburton.
Racing and freeriding at Yarra Ranges Downhill Festival takes place at the top of this epic mountain.
Expect to reach speeds of 90km/h on a track where strategy is going to be crucial to success if you are racing otherwise expect loads of fun runs with tons of your friends.
As before full hay bale track protection.
We aim to improve the experience with more runs than ever, an earlier time of year ( first weekend right out of summer) with a more efficient and experienced set of staff as well as food trucks on location. We hope to find a solution to accommodation for riders as well (TBC).
This track & event is perfect for beginners/intermediates who are looking to upgrade their confidence in longboarding at fast speeds and with other riders in a safe environment with no traffic.

Accomodation
We are pleased to announce that YRDHF will finally have official rider camping accommodation available for the entirety of the event.
The accommodation will be available from Thursday night to Monday morning and will include plenty of space with flat, grassy areas right in town. If you are planning to attend and want accommodation we recommend booking this option when registration is open via the website, the campsite will be provided with toilets.
We are working on a solution to provide showers in town as well. There will also be a nice swimming spot right across the camping grounds, which provided the event is right after the end of February you will want to make use of as it is generally very hot weather in this time of year.
Pricing will be affordable and by far the cheapest option in town at $15 a night as well as being close to the pub and the hill and only a couple of minutes from the Scouts Trail Centre, making it the best option.
We recommend booking official accommodation with your ticket for the amount of nights you are staying, should be plenty of room for everyone, this will also help the event as large deposits are required for us to reserve the land to provide this option to have everyone there together. We hope it provides a better experience socially and makes it more affordable overall as accommodation has always been an issue in the past.
Please remember that camping at the hill is illegal as no camping is allowed due to the national park status.
