World Skate World Championships 2023

They will take place in Tagaytay, Philippines in February 2024

The international governering body of roller sports World Skate, has announced that the World Skate World Championships 2023 for Downhill Skateboarding and Streetluge will take place in Tagaytay, Philippines from February 22-25th 2024.

COUNTRY QUOTA

Athletes:

Maximum 8 athletes per gender per country are allowed to participate. This is intended as the total number of athletes competing for Downhill Skateboarding & Street Luge disciplines altogether. Within the men’s team, a maximum of 6 can be from a single discipline. Within the women’s team, a maximum of 6 can be from a single discipline.

Noteworthy

The World Skate Downhill Skateboarding Commission had added a ‘Wildcard’ application possibility, opening up the opportunity for Athletes without a National Governing Body (NGB) to apply to attend individually.

“Wild Card requests must be sent by e-mail to downhill.skateboarding@worldskate.org
within February 1st 2024.
Please note that a wild card athlete is granted at World Skate’s discretion and is limited
only to the cases below:
● Lack of an existing and recognized NGB in the athlete’s country of origin.
● Host country citizenship.
● Event organizer Wildcards.”
